Press Release : The international jury met on the 6th of june in Paris. It was composed of Alan Woods (member of the executive board of the Foundation for Enviromental Education), Julia Heiss (UNESCO), Nicolas Gantier (Cousteau Society), Louisette Gouverne (International Federation of Environmental journalists), and Thomas Joly (French office of the Foundation for Environmental Education). The Jury would like to congratulate all participants, and acknowledge the very good quality of articles submited. The choice has been sometimes very difficult. Especially, the jury would like to congratulatye Belgium for the originality and quality of the articles presented, though none was rewarded. The jury would like to mention that the final decision to nominate the super award has been extremely difficult. The articles Our river, a huge frying pan would have deserved the prize. Nevertheless, the jury priviledged the Moroccan article about potters since it was at the crossroads of all issues related toi sustainable development, including ecologic, economic, ans social aspects. A special Award has been given to the article cars and cities which is the result of a very positive cooperation between three schools from three countries : Portugal, Turkey and Greece.
