The Project “SOS Bucovina” it’s a sign of alarm over the uncontrolled cutting of forests and it shows the negative consequences of this phenomena on the environment, but also on human and animal health. Also, the project comes with new ideas to overcome the process of nature destruction by applying rigorous laws, a more severe control and by enforcing those to blame. Only by a firm attitude we will be able to keep and perpetuate the beauty of Bucovina, pride of Romania.
Resume: The forest plays a very important role in the natural balance. It protects the soil against wind and water erosion. Forests are important also because they regularize the water flow, especially in those lands with mountains and cliffs, such a Bucovina. The excessive cutting has as a consequence drought, which in turn leads to deserting the land. By destroying the woods, cutting them recklessly, the environment has much to suffer. By polluting the environment we contribute to global warming, to the extinction of plants and animals and of their millennial habitat. This phenomena leads to the degradation and even extinction of plants and genetic mutation of animals. “SOS Bucovina” must be seen as a symbol of the new generation, who wishes to protect the natural environment. We can stop this process of destruction by establishing a severe control nationally and even at a European level, through a rigorous legislation and applicable regulation.
